Yours Truly | Nikon D300s

I finally did it! I upgraded my Nikon DSLR.

In celebration, here are some photos of yours truly – since that’s about as much shooting as I’ve done since the D300s arrived.

Note: My blog posts may have slowed recently, but I can assure you, the wheels in my head have not! In the near future, you can expect to see new projects including some artful photo series’ and video playfulness. I’m not totally solid on the concepts yet, but I never am till it happens. We’ll see!

I’m Unravelling

For the next 8 weeks, I get to connect with people all over the world while discovering new ways of seeing myself through photography, thanks to Susannah Conway’s Unravelling e-course. I’ve been looking forward to this for a while now and can’t wait to get started!

Role Reversal

The roles were reversed on Saturday. I was in FRONT of the lens, rather than behind it. My good friend, Angie Warren, is also a photographer and did a shoot of ME! I’m not a huge fan of having my picture taken, so this was definitely stepping out of my comfort zone. I actually had a really good time once I got all fancied up. My friend Shaya, “the makeup artist” (see TTD: Bunkers & Three Girls for more of her work) did my make up and Shan (my sister-in-law) helped with props and such. It was a fun, girl-bonding time. I love the feeling of so many creative minds coming together.

I had to post a lot of these because Angie did an amazing job. Feels awkwardly self-centered though. Hmm. Please forgive me.

THANK YOU to these three amazing women. From left to right: Shannon, Shaya, Me & Angie.

In turn, I did a shoot of Angie on Sunday. Stay tuned cause I’ll be posting her shortly.
