Katie Lives

My daughter now has her very own blog!

I’ll be the transcriber until she learns to spell and type, but these are her thoughts, word for word. Click here: www.katielives.com.

At Least She’s Aware

Katie’s been sick the last couple days and we’ve been spending a lot of time at home. She’s sitting on the couch playing with her legos and this is what she said:

Mom? Do you wish you were a five year old – but not sick – and you were doing artsy stuff?

Haha. What a funny thing to say. She totally knows that she’s lucky to be a kid with no responsibilities.

Turnouts

Katie’s dad is a firefighter. The other day, when I was dropping her off, we stole his turnouts and took over his backyard for a few minutes. LOOK HOW CUTE SHE IS! Gahhhhh… I love her.

Like father, like daughter. (But mostly, she’s like mom.)

My Daughter is Totally Cute

I was driving away from Angie’s house and saw this awesome fence. I immediately pulled over and told Katie to get out and go play in the mud. AHH. It was messy, but totally worth it.

Fishing Attempt

On New Years Day, my family decided to go fishing on the Martinez Marina. It was freeeezing! We only lasted about an hour before we packed up and left. I ended up wrapping katie up in a huge blanket. I told her she was Ariel from the little mermaid. We still had a good time. I love my family.

Thanks for the fishing poles, Dad!

Some cool textures:

No, we didn’t catch any fish.
