Alex & Erin’s Wedding | Part 2

The Reception (SO MUCH FUN!):

The Photographers:

Alex & Erin’s Wedding | Part 1

I’m admittedly behind on getting this post out (sorry Alex & Erin!) but here’s my excuse: there were SO MANY PICTURES!! Not only did I take a billion, but my brother shot some with my second camera and I handed mine over to a friend at the reception and he snapped a ton of awesome pics, too! Because of the overabundance, I’m going to post this wedding in three parts: the wedding, the reception, and the day after shoot.

This wedding was amazing. The people, the food, the music, the dancing. Did I mention the people?? I grew up with Alex and his family. It’s always such a fun time when so many good friends and family gather, especially when you haven’t seen some of them in a while!

I love you Alex & Erin! Thanks for letting me shoot your wedding.

Lindsey & Eugene | Berkeley Wedding Photography

Back in December, I shot some engagement photos of Lindsey & Eugene. In April, I was lucky enough to follow these two to the alter as well! With a beautiful location up in the Berkeley hills, perfect weather, and a very calm and in-love bride and groom, everything was just right. Along with my second shooter (and bff), Angie Warren, we were able to capture every moment of this special day for them.

Here’s a few highlights:

Baby Massimo | Newborn Photography

A baby-boom is taking place in my family right now as I type this sentence. This is baby Max! He was born on April 1st and was only 17 days old in these photos. Thanks to Max (or thanks to Auntie Heather?) my daughter is officially a cousin to 2 boys now. That’s not all, though. In just nine-ish short weeks, another boy will be coming along to make her a cousin to THREE BOYS! Thankfully, Katie is a very strong and independent girl so I think she’ll fit in well with 3 boy cousins. Just yesterday she was digging up piles of worms on her farm field trip, calling them “king cobras”. I think the boys will appreciate that.

Now, here’s to hoping the boom continues…

Proud cousin!

Stomacher at Great American Music Hall

Last time I was at the Great American Music Hall, I was there to see Imogen Heap (whom I love), so you can imagine my excitement when finding out my brother, Stephen’s band was playing such an awesome venue! On April 10th, 2010, Stomacher opened for the headliner, Tornado Rider, along with a few other opening bands. They played an amazing set. I know I may be biased, but they just seem to get better every time I see them. I’ll attach the band’s info to the bottom of this post so you all can check them out for yourselves.

Just the right people seemed to attend this show. First of all, my whole family was there: my mom, my dad and his wife, my brother and his wife, and even my sister and her husband, who live in England but were in town visiting. Secondly, I always enjoy seeing the friends that show up to these shows. It feels a bit like a reunion. Lastly, and most certainly not least, The Edge from U2 showed up (!!!) to check out the headlining band. He was in the crowd with his bodyguard, nonchalantly enjoying the show. Stephen and Jarrod, the lead singer of Stomacher, were able to give him their CD to check out. Later in the night, he actually walked into their dressing room to say hi and compliment them on their album cover. Let me tell you… before this happened, if someone were to have asked Stephen what one musician he would want to meet, he would have said The Edge from U2. He was a huge inspiration for my brother to start playing guitar. The experience was surreal.
