Tonight, I went to the BB King Blues Festival. I’ll admit, even though I had to sacrifice my Indigo Girls concert, I truly enjoyed it. Some of those songs are so easily recognized yet I’d never have taken the time to appreciate them the way they should be. It would have been just another song on a movie soundtrack to me. Thanks to my blues loving boyfriend, I now have that appreciation. What a privilege it is to experience BB King live in concert. He’s almost 82 yrs old and still going. And gosh, Etta James is hilarious. She’s nearly 70 yrs old and still acts like she’s the sexiest thing alive. Al Green was also very entertaining to see live.
Overall, I had a very wonderful evening.
