This was my favorite shoot so far. Ever in my life. It was so involved and extravagant! On Monday, I partnered up with my neighbors (mentioned in previous post) and photographed my beautiful sister-in-law, Shannon, Trash the Dress style. We decided to shoot at the bunkers on the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge. It was FREEZING and even poured rain at one point, but you’d never know it from these pics! Shan did a great job toughing it out. We just kept stopping to bundle her up with a blanket. Poor thing. 4 hours later, the dress was soaking wet and muddy and we allowed her to put on warm clothes ;)
Shan looked beautiful. Shaya did an amazing job on the makeup. And Brian shot some really great photos. It’s cool to see the same shoot from two different perspectives.
Because this was such a fun shoot and cause it was such a long shoot, I’m posting a ton of my faves. There was just no way I could narrow it down any more than this.
Enjoy:

If anyone is interested in a Trash the Dress or fashion shoot, please let me know. This is the area of my portfolio I still need to build.
I’ve been wanting to dabble a bit in fashion photography, so I recruited this gorgeous girl from the coffee shop I frequent. This was her first modeling shoot and you’d never know it. It seemed like she’d been doing this for years.
Also, I’ve become great friends with a couple that live right across the hall from me in my apartment complex. After hearing I was a photographer, they asked me over to talk about shooting their wedding in April. I learned that Brian is a photographer among many other talents, and Shaya is a very experienced and skilled makeup artist. She has done a lot of well known TV shows and movies (CSI, Jackass movies and more). Shaya came with me on this shoot and as you can see, she did an amazing job on the makeup!

I had the pleasure of shooting some promo photos of Jake Mackey today. He’s the singer of a band that John Lazarus plays drums for. A few of these will be used on their album layout. Maybe I can post the final product eventually. You can check out their music here: Jake Mackey Band.

John’s silly.

Btw. I finally have internet again. Hallelujah.
