Here’s a few of my faves:

My longgggg time friend, Lydia, had her second child January 3rd. I mentioned in a previous post that she was only 5 lbs! What a cute girl she is. I also stole a few shots of her big brother.
This is Abbi:

This is Todd:

On New Years Day, my family decided to go fishing on the Martinez Marina. It was freeeezing! We only lasted about an hour before we packed up and left. I ended up wrapping katie up in a huge blanket. I told her she was Ariel from the little mermaid. We still had a good time. I love my family.
Thanks for the fishing poles, Dad!

Some cool textures:

No, we didn’t catch any fish.
DEATH. Seriously, is it a natural thing? It’s very hard to believe when you experience the types that I have encountered in the last month.
My friend and co-worker, Garland Vaughn, passed away last month. At only 17 years of age, he died when his lungs collapsed in his sleep. This kid was amazing. Always smiling, always positive, always making jokes. My life was a brighter place during the few months I was able to work with him.

On new years eve, my friend and hero to many, Ben Tollefson (22), died in Iraq from wounds suffered when his unit was attacked. He leaves behind his wife, Natalie and 8 month old son, Mac. This news has changed me and those around me forever. I’ll be attending his funeral this Saturday.

My cousin had a miscarriage a couple days ago, giving birth to a 4 inch, lifeless, baby boy in the middle of the night, having heard his heartbeat earlier that day. I send my love to you, Kirstie.
I am so sorry to the families involved in these tragedies. I imagine that there are no words to describe the pain you are feeling. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
LIFE. It’s insane and so very unpredictable.
On the very opposite end of the spectrum, the very reason the world keeps spinning, two of my good friends gave birth to healthy little girls this week!
Abby was born on January 3rd, a month early, weighing only 5 lbs. I was able to go see her yesterday and hold her teeny tiny little self. What a miracle it is to hold such a beautiful little child.
Mia was born yesterday (On my birthday! January 7th). I can’t wait to meet her. Congrats to Christle and Joe! I love you guys.
Both girls will hopefully be the subject in front of my camera lens in the near future. Check back.
